By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

We collect the following categories of information:

Information you provide directly:

  • Name
  • Mailing address
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Order and reservation details (e.g., lift tickets, rental equipment, lesson bookings — including dates, package selections, and participant information such as height/weight/shoe size where relevant for rental fitting)
  • Payment information — we do not collect or store full credit card numbers. Card payments are processed directly by our payment processor, WorldPay, and we retain only the last four digits of the card used, for order identification and customer service purposes.
  • Photographs — for season pass holders, you may upload a photograph of yourself, or of your minor child, for identification purposes when using the pass at our resort
  • Minor's information — if you purchase a season pass for a minor child, you will provide that child's name and date of birth (see Section 8 for more detail)
  • Any other information you choose to provide, such as messages sent through a contact form or customer service inquiry

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and usage information (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent on the Site, referring website) collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies
  • We use Google Analytics on our main resort website. For details on cookies used on this online store specifically, see the Cookie Policy section below.

We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. See Section 8 for how we handle minors' information in connection with season passes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and fulfill your orders (lift tickets, rentals, lessons, and other purchases)
  • Communicate with you about your order, reservation, or account
  • Provide customer support

Essential cookies (required for the site to function):

  • PHPSESSID — a session cookie that lets you log in, add items to your cart, and complete checkout. It contains no personal information beyond a temporary session ID, and is deleted when you log out or complete your order. This cookie cannot be disabled without affecting your ability to use the Site.

Cookies you may notice, but that aren't active on this site:

  • You may see cookies named _ga or _ga_ZJL20CNXSP while browsing this store. These are Google Analytics cookies set by our main resort information website (trollhaugen.com), and are visible here only because both sites share the same root domain. No analytics tracking or data collection happens on this online store itself.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate our business, including:
    • WorldPay (payment processing)
    • Google (website analytics, via Google Analytics)
    • White Peaks Technologies — our season pass/ticketing platform provider; stores season pass photographs and minors' information solely for identification purposes at our resort
    • Emma (email marketing platform, used for order-related and promotional emails)

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to process your orders, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Season pass photographs and minors' information are retained in our season pass platform (White Peaks Technologies) until removal is requested; we do not otherwise proactively delete this information.

6. Your Choices

  • Marketing emails: You may opt out of promotional emails at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email, or by contacting us directly.
  • Analytics/cookies: This online store uses only essential cookies (see Section 3) — there are no non-essential cookies here to opt out of. To manage analytics cookie preferences for our main resort website, visit www.trollhaugen.com.
  • Do Not Track signals: Our Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

Payment card data is handled by WorldPay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Information and Minors' Season Passes

Our Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the Site.

However, we offer season passes for minor children. If you purchase a season pass for your minor child, you will provide us with the child's name, date of birth, and a photograph, for the purpose of pass issuance and identification at our resort. This information is provided by you, the parent or legal guardian — not collected directly from the child.

By submitting a minor's information or photograph, you represent that you are the minor's parent or legal guardian and have the authority to provide this information on the minor's behalf.

Season pass photographs, whether of an adult or a minor, are used solely so resort staff can visually confirm the pass holder's identity at check-in and lift access points. We do not use automated facial recognition or biometric scanning technology to process these photographs. Photographs and minors' information are shared only with White Peaks Technologies, our season pass/ticketing platform provider, who stores them solely for this identification purpose, and are not used for marketing or shared with any other third party.

If you believe we have collected information about a minor outside the season pass process described above, please contact us so we can address it.

9. Third-Party Links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., partner lodging, dining, or activity providers). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
